GMFRC SHORT-TERM TUTORING SERVICES

Goal

The goal of this program is to provide short-term assistance (7 weeks) to children and youth experiencing academic difficulties.

It is not the intent that this service provides long term academic tutoring nor is it to replace the responsibility of the parent.

Who do we serve?
Children and youth, primary to grade 12. Students must be dependants of military members or children of civilian employees of 14 Wing Greenwood.

Intake/Matching/Recording

  • Parents, teachers and / or students must contact the Coordinator of Children and Youth Services at 765-1494 local 1812 to register for tutoring services.   
  • Registration and tutor/student match will be done by the Child Youth Coordinator and all information will be passed on to the assigned tutor.    
  • Tutors will use the facilities at the Greenwood MFRC.

  • There is no tutoring during the summer months.

Hours
All tutors volunteer their time free of charge. Schedules need to be flexible.  Tutoring is available during MFRC regular hours of operation.
