Your cover letter should
accomplish in the first paragraph who you are, what job you are applying for, and why you want to work with the organization.
Your Cover letter should
start with some sort of attention grabber. Not as extreme as a joke. But
a descriptive statement about you or a quote, or a well-worded
introduction will work fine. The goal is to catch the attention of the
employer.
Your second & third
paragraph should answer the following questions:
o
What are your
relevant skills
o
What is your
relevant experience
o
Why are you
well suited for the position
You should always, always
close your cover letter by thanking the employer for taking his or her
time to review your application, and invite them to contact you.
